The key ingredients: TIME, FIRE, LOVE, FLOUR (100% Mühlviertel), & WATER.
Wheat, rye, or spelt… Since summer 2020, we’ve been firing up our own wood-fired oven in the BERGERGUT bread-baking house in the garden. Host and award-winning chef Thomas indulges one of his greatest passions here: his love for sustainably produced, easily digestible, and incredibly delicious BREAD.
"Corona 2020" and the associated, suddenly “gained” free time in spring gave Thomas space for research, experimentation, and it fueled his deep love for REAL, GOOD bread in all its varieties. And so, as a beautiful silver lining, a wonderful new favorite spot in our BERGERGUT garden was born...

1st Day
- Individual arrival from 1:00 p.m. (Time to settle in, enjoy drinks in the sun, go for a walk or have lunch; Please note: Pools are available this afternoon, but saunas are not heated!)
- “Bread Baking Part 1” 2:00 – approx. 4:30 p.m.: Welcome aperitif, pre-doughs with wheat, rye & spelt; preparing the wood-fired oven; theory & practice
- Evening: "Private" gourmet dinner “Mühlviertler Mund.Art” from our award-winning kitchen
2nd Day
- Served gourmet breakfast with the best bread
- “Bread Baking Part 2” 9:00 – approx. 2:00 p.m.: Firing up the oven, main doughs, baking; theory & practice
- Midday delight: Wood-fired fresh “Mühlviertler Feuerflecken” & refreshing drinks in the garden
- You are very welcome to relax in the wellness area for the rest of the day
- Evening: Gourmet dinner & mindful unwinding...
3rd Day
- Check-out by 11:00 a.m.; Optionally, you may enjoy wellness in our house until 7:00 p.m. for an additional charge...
